Willard Reaves

A 21st Century
Liberal for a
New Generation

Willard Reaves’s journey—from high school standout to CFL legend, law enforcement officer, and political leader—is a powerful testament to perseverance, purpose, and the enduring influence of a family

When I first got off the sidelines and ran for Fort Whyte MLA, I didn’t do it for me. I did it for us. For each other For all Manitobans. Each and every one. I heard the frustration at kitchen tables and in community centres, and I knew our politics could be better. Becoming MLP leader isn’t only because I am the best person for the job. It’s about bringing us together, making our Party strong, and delivering results that every single Manitoban can feel.”

Team Willard Endorsements

Markus Chambers

I am extremely happy to provide my personal endorsement of my friend Willard Reaves. I have known Willard for the last forty years and know him to be an extremely genuine and caring individual.

As a professional athlete, Willard quickly endeared himself to the community and involved himself in numerous charitable organizations. These actions and many more speak to the quality of his character and responsiveness to all members of our diverse community.

Willard will represent every constituent in his riding with the utmost of his ability and will work diligently with his team at the Manitoba Legislature to increase accountability in the provincial government.

He wholeheartedly has my endorsement.

Hon. Dr. Jon Gerrard

Over the last few years, I have got to know Willard Reaves and his wife Lise well. Not just a star former football player, Willard is an amazing person, with personal experience of the Justice system from his years in the Winnipeg’s Sheriff’s office, an understanding of business from owning his own business and a good grasp of issues in health care from his wife Lise, a nurse who has worked in Emergency and Urgent Care in Winnipeg.

He is passionate about mentoring youth and about supporting people in Fort Whyte where he has lived for 36 years and where he has raised his four children. We know he will be a strong and energetic representative for people should he be elected.
